fab and exciting
Awesome - 10 out of 10

Plot: The Suffolk air show, fifty thousand people, all there too have a good time, all but one. Two pilots found dead, and an expensive helicopter is stolen, but why? Alex Rider, the youngest spy of MI6 is investigating, and it all leads to the Gwimaldi brothers- members of a ruthless mafia family, if that isn’t enough, his housekeeper, and his best friend is missing, and the only person who believes she isn’t dead is Alex. School kids held hostage, intense getaways, and death – defying stunts follow in the incredible adventures of the teenage spy. Will they make it out alive?

Favourite features: At various points the story involves a massive helicopter, a luxury yacht, and a super strong, enormous magnet. There's also a car jam – packed with spy tricks and tools. This is my favourite part as they’re so cool and make the story a lot more exciting!

Favourite Character(s): Two of my favourite characters in the story are the Gwimaldi brothers, I like them because they’re always included in the most exciting parts, as they are some of the main characters. Another one of my favourite characters is Wolf (Wolf is his code name), as he was in previous books of Alex Rider and he hasn’t been in all the books, so it was good that he appeared in this book. Also, he does one of the most crucial and important bits in the story, if he didn’t do it everything would have failed…
Newspapers & Magazines
"Never Say Die, is one of the most dramatically ambitious of the novels so far... The suspense never slackens and the plot, even at its most far-fetched, is underpinned with nerdishly forensic detail, which has an irresistible "how stuff works" appeal." * The Daily Telegraph * "The Alex Rider stories are action adventures about defeating cartoon villains who are intent on global domination, but, although Alex is brave and athletic, what really makes him and the books special is his ingenuity.... The series not only has explosions and chases: it shows that cleverness can win." * The Sunday Times, Children's Book of the Week * "Readers who like their adventure action packed will love the new Alex Rider novel, Never Say Die, by Anthony Horowitz. Our favourite teen spy whizzes around the world, from San Francisco to Egypt, at breakneck speed." * Irish Independent * "Anthony Horowitz is second to none when it comes to writing page-turners so his fans will be thrilled to read the new Alex Rider novel." * Daily Express * "It's been a while since Anthony Horowitz wrote about Alex, but this crackling, fast-paced tale, called Never Say Die (Walker Books) makes it feel like he has never been away." * Glasgow Evening News *
