"I thought the questions were great. The content was generally very relevant to general practice and there was a great breadth of knowledge covered. I feel separating the book into chapters by system is really useful, as it allows the reader to focus their learning. The answers are also a great source of knowledge and reference relevant guidance which can then be looked at if further information is needed. I think the flowcharts are a great way of revising a topic as it allows the reader to think systematically about the topic as opposed to only one aspect of it and there are many of these throughout the book. I also think the pictures are useful - very often in general practice we are faced with a rash/swelling/skin lesion - therefore learning in this way is not only helpful and representative of the exam but for working in general practice itself. Having the two papers at the end of the book is an excellent way of consolidating knowledge and helping to prepare for the exam. Having recently sat the AKT, I feel this book is a comprehensive and helpful resource in preparing for the exam." Dr Rebecca Goggins, GP Trainee, Manchester. "An excellent revision book, set at just the right level for the AKT exam covering the whole syllabus with superb succinct explanations. I would definitely be recommending this book to any student sitting the AKT Exam". Dr Chris Campbell, GP Partner ISCA Medical Practice, RCGP Educational Lead (Exeter) & AKT Course Tutor.
