contains many touching moments but it also deals with the trials and tribulations of a rescue dog with honesty. Lost and Fond and Winnie's Blog Hubble and Hattie are responsible, as was paleoanthropologist Louis Leakey a century before, in publicizing one of the great achievements of 21st Century scholarship. Worzel Wooface is another perfect observer. As Ethologist Jane Goodall approached her study of Tanzanian Chimpanzees, Worzel Wooface came to the Pickles of Southwold - 'with a mind uncluttered and unbiased by theory.' Geelong Obedience Dog Club a beautifully written, witty, funny, heart warming book which really draws you into the heart of Worzel's adopted family of humans (and cats) ... THIS WAS A BOOK THAT I COULDN'T PUT DOWN! Amazon.co.uk Highly recommended for giggles, a great book for a chuckle but with a serious message about the importance of pets becoming family and the effort required to take on such a huge responsibility. Can't wait for book 2 Amazon.co.uk Beautifully written, extremely witty and heart-warming throughout ... I literally couldn't put it down! Dog Training Weekly An enjoyable, hilarious read naturallyhappydogs.com. The book is 140 pages long and is presented in a diary-entry style, starting from the day that Worzel first arrived. Worzel's hilarious narrative, often echoing the exasperated expressions from the 'hoomans' around him, consists entirely of his own take on English. Far from causing difficulties in 'actual understandings' of the book, this somewhat peculiar writing style provides many of the laugh out loud moments. Yet hidden amongst all the giggles is the serious side of the story. In this sense, the book is a tribute to other rescue animals who may have not necessarily had the best start in life, but are now living life to the full thanks to the patience and efforts of their new families. - Grace Clarke.
