a great laugh out loud book.
Excellent - 9 out of 10
This book was well written and surprised me for a first novel. Dawn French has the family life down to a tee. I am sure you all find something familiar in the family whether its Mo (mum) or Dora (18) or even dad. The younger brother who has an obsession with Oscar Wilde is just plain hilarious.Poor mum for a child psychologist she just doesn't 'get' children. I found myself laughing or agreeing that I too have been in thier position. Then there is the dog well you will have to read it.
Well written Dawn French.
Beautifully observed. Makes you laugh on every page The Times Hilarious. Chortle-out-loud turns of phrase, razor-sharp observations The Stylist Fresh, extremely funny Sunday Times Has she cracked it with her first novel? Yes. Engaging from the first page Heat Really enjoyable and highly recommended. Dawn French is a wonderful writer - witty, wise and poignant Daily Mail A hilarious and compelling read Good Housekeeping
