This work aims to present the reader with the facts of the BASIC programming language, in the context of a college based course on computer programming. It describes the fundamentals of computers, basic facts of BASIC language, enabling students to develop and write simple programs. Coverage of BASIC language starting with Constants and variables, Arithmetic and Basic expressions, BASIC statements, functions, subroutines, Searching and sorting methods, Matrix manipulation, computer graphics and numerical methods is provided. Several examples and calculations in physical, organic and inorganic chemistry are presented. The text also covers topics such as the application of Graphics, Numerical methods and various software available for solving chemistry problems.
