The Congruence Personality Scale (CPS) is designed to assess the new consensus in personality often called "The Big Five". These are: social orientation; interpersonal orientation; task orientation; emotional orientation; and cognitive orientation. The CPS is composed of adjectives which people use frequently to describe themselves and others. The adjectives included have been researched to establish that they reflect empirically the five orientations outlined above. As well as interpretive details, the manual for CPS also contains details about how a wide range of occupations relate to the five orientations. The CPS materials include: manual; test forms; client profile sheets; and a scoring key.
