This work addresses some of the issues concerning increased banking technology and the way money is moved around the world by electronic means. It is designed to help the reader understand how a transfer works in practice, how it affects the parties and relationships involved, problems likely to be encountered and future developments. The authors examine various systems in operation - such as EFTPOS and SWIFT - and include sample documents. Rules feature in the appendices. There is a discussion of both the UK and the US systems enabling readers to conduct comparisons between the two jurisdictions.
