This unique anthology brings together the best available research on the joint effects of gender, culture, and ethnicity in people's lives. The 25 carefully selected readings include studies of ethnic minority populations in the United States as well as cross-cultural comparisons. Students will fi nd the articles interesting and readable (each article included in this collection was read and critiqued by undergraduates before fi nal selections were made). Two informative introductory chapters explain key concepts such as culture and ethnicity, outline the nature of sociocultural analyses of gender, and set the stage for the articles to follow.
