In this booklet Cor Bruins tackles the truth that Jesus Christ is clearly declared to be God in the Bible. The question frequently asked when the Lord Jesus was here in this world was, "Who is He?" Since the cross (and the resurrection) the question has been restated, "Is He or is He not God manifest in the flesh?" In answer to this, the author clearly demonstrates the unmistakeable truth, that the man Jesus is God. He begins by considering evidence from the writings of both the so-called Church Fathers and those historians who had no professed Christian allegiance such as Flavius Josephus. Then he considers the fulfilment of Old Testament prophecies relating to the Messiah in the life and person of Jesus. In this section we see the Lord Jesus appealing to the Old Testament as that which made reference to things concerning Himself. If fulfilling Messianic prophecies then He must be God! The next major topic considered is the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This subject is a vital foundation of the Christian faith. Cor moves on to consider what Christ claimed about Himself.
If we look for certain phrases we may not find them printed as we want, but anyone taking an unbiased view will see ample evidence in the New Testament that Jesus clearly stated that He was God and always accepted worship from mankind when it was offered. The booklet next tackles the thorny topic of "other faiths". In dealing with those which place Jesus as best as no greater than a prophet and at the very least as just another man, the author shows how those who oppose the truth "that Jesus is God", as presented in the New Testament, are fundamentally wrong. The booklet ends with the challenge: "Who you decide Jesus Christ is must not be an idle intellectual exercise. He is either a liar, a lunatic or the Lord. John said: '...but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name' (John 20:31)."
