La Transicion a La Democracia En La Novela Espanola
Los Usos Y Poderes De La Memoria En Cuatro Novelistas Contemporaneos
This book analyzes how several contemporary Spanish writers (Francisco Umbral, Manual Vasquez Montalban, Manuel Vicent, and Felix de Azua) view Span's transition to democracy in their novels. These authors and their texts offer alternative narratives of the transition that disrupt and contradict the complacent and monological version elaborated by post-Francoist historiography.

What Reviewers Are Saying
"... All too easily, liberal politicians in democratic Spain have forgotten the ideals they espoused until Franco's death, and Dr. Ardavin explores how those ideals survive, nonetheless, in contemporary Spanish fiction..." - Professor Angel G. Loureiro, Princeton University"
