This fascinating book of over 200 old photographs depicts scenes, people and events from everyday life in and around Liskeard, over a period of more than one hundred years. Many of the photographs come from private collections. In this book we see some of the town's well-known features, such as The Parade and Webbs Hotel, through a period of change. The people feature as prominently as the townscape, and we witness a community enjoying many events, from dramatic productions to street parties. The surrounding villages in the district are also represented here, including Duloe, St Keyne, Morrswater and St Cleer. This wonderful and timely book will appeal to all who know and love this Cornish town and would relish a trip into its colourful past.
