What Reviewers Are Saying
How Mr. Bear, whose wife's snores drive him from bed ("Oh NO! I can't stand THIS"), traipses from Baby Bear's room ("Oh NO! I can't stand THIS," says Mr. Bear to Baby Bear's airplane imitations) to the living room, where the clock ticks ("Oh NO! I can't stand THIS"), to the kitchen, where the faucet drips ("Oh NO! I can't stand THIS"), to the garden, where animals toot and mew ("Oh NO! I can't stand THIS"). . . then back to bed where Mrs. Bear has stopped snoring. But the story goes nowhere at all, and that without a spark in the telling or a hint of rhythm or bounce in the repetition. (Kirkus Reviews)
