This book is a comprehensive, scientifically based monograph on the largest cetaceans - some of the most spectacular animals on earth This group includes the world's largest animal, the Blue Whale, as well as smaller but allegedly more fearsome toothed whales such as the Sperm Whale and Killer Whale (or Orca). This book considers in detail the anatomy, physiology and behaviour of these wonderful animals. Much of the research described is previously unpublished. Field identification and behaviour at sea are treated in detail.
