Each fairytale is illustrated by photographs of intricate paper sculptures cut from the pages of one of seven books, one for each of the fairytales in the collection. Su Blackwell's beautifully photographed paper sculptures summon up a magical world of beauty and mischief, while Wendy Jones's retellings of these favourite stories are fresh and lyrical. Each fairytale has its own particular visual flavour: for example, the story of Sleeping Beauty is blue and dreamy, while The Princess and the Pea is green and summery.
