It has clear details on the management in pregnancy, labour and following birth from a midwifery perspective - a must for any student midwife and a fantastic reference for all qualified midwives. "This book is a long awaited text providing a comprehensive look at many of the medical conditions encountered by women during childbirth. Other texts with similar content have been recently produced but this text has the advantage of the information being presented in tabular format, thus making it easy to follow and an ideal reference tool. The care for each condition is broken down into pregnancy, labour and postnatal aspects and then presents expected care from the medical and midwifery perspective, although the reader will naturally have to apply any local policy for more specific care. The conditions are divided under logical headings and have been written by experienced professionals who have specialist knowledge in the field they are covering.
