In 2012, Liverpool and the north west of England were captivated by 'Sea Odyssey' - the incredible street theatre production that brought the city to a standstill. Over 800,000 visitors stood in awe for three days as French theatre company Royal de Luxe brought three enormous Giants, Uncle Diver, Little Girl and Xolo over from their base in Nantes to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. And now, the Giants are back. Between July 23-27, the new event, 'Memories of August 1914', is set to remember the outbreak of World War One from a completely different and inspiring perspective. Equipped with brand new puppets and a storyline inspired by local stories of the conflict, 'Memories of August 1914' looks set to be another enthralling, emotional and wonderfully supported piece of street theatre.
